Q. I’m interested in your experience playing the anti-hero in “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.” Was that an opportunity like, “Wow, I get to play the bad guy finally”?
A. I was really excited to play the villain, but it’s hard for me because I love Michael Cera and I wish him the best. Q. We all wish him the best.
A. I don’t want to hurt him but I have to take him down. Q. Are you ready to be hated by lots of people?
A. I’m excited. It’s funny because I really wanted my character to be a nice guy. The nicer I tried to make him, the more he came off like a d—. I tried to make him the nicest man in the world. Q. He’s a really nice guy who wants to destroy Michael Cera.
